In a thrilling showcase of equestrian talent, the Moroccan Show Jumping Championship concluded on Sunday at the Sidi Berni arena in Skhirat, highlighting exceptional performances across various age categories and breeds.
Seven-Year-Olds Crowned Champions
The spotlight was on Quint Kruishoeve, ridden by Youssef Salmeron, as they secured the prestigious title in the seven-year-old category with a faultless run in 45.96 seconds during the decisive barrage. Salmeron, astride Girocco De Jarzey, clinched the second spot with a time of 47.96 seconds and a flawless performance. Ali Al Ahrach guided Qrazy JW Van De Moehoewe to third place with a time of 51.18 seconds and four penalty points.
Multi-Category Event
The championship featured competitions for horses aged 4, 5, 6, and 7, as well as Barbes and Arab Barb breeds. Tattoo VD Rollebeek, ridden by Isaie Abittan, seized the four-year-old category, exhibiting a faultless run and an average score of 17.38 points. Inca du Moulin, under the guidance of Majid Djaidi, triumphed in the five-year-old division, showcasing an average score of 17.42 points.
Diverse Winners Across Divisions
The six-year-old category witnessed a close battle, culminating in Amidam Tivoli Z, piloted by Hicham Er-Radi, securing the top position by a mere 0.01-second margin in the decisive barrage. Meanwhile, the championship for Barbes and Arab Barb breeds saw El Bayrouta, ridden by Youssef Felloula, emerge victorious with a flawless run in 33.60 seconds.
A Week of Equine Excellence
The 8th edition of the Moroccan Championships, spanning from November 6th to 12th, encompassed dressage and show jumping events for Barbes and Arab Barb breeds, as well as Moroccan-bred or early-age imported horses. Additionally, endurance trials challenged riders to navigate 60, 90, and 120 kilometers of natural terrain astride their horses.
The championships not only showcased remarkable horsemanship but also celebrated the diversity and skill within Morocco’s equestrian community, marking a successful week of spirited competition and equine excellence.
