As anticipation builds for the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), TransferMarkt, the platform specializing in player market values, has unveiled the market value of players set to participate in the tournament. Two Moroccan players, Achraf Hakimi of PSG and Nayef Aguerd from West Ham United, have secured spots in the Top 10 list.
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, a Napoli player, tops the valuation chart at a staggering €110 million. Close behind is Moroccan right-back Achraf Hakimi, currently with Paris Saint-Germain, valued at €65 million, sharing the same value with Egyptian star Mohamed Salah from Liverpool.
Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus, a player from West Ham United, follows with a valuation of €45 million. Guinea’s Serhou Guirassy and Nigerian Victor Boniface are also among the top-valued players, each at €40 million.
The defensive line has its representation too, with André Onana from Cameroon and Edmond Tapsoba of Burkina Faso, both valued at €40 million. Sporting Lisbon’s Ousmane Diomande from Ivory Coast, rated at the same valuation. Moroccan centre-back Nayef Aguerd from West Ham comes in the tenth place with €38 million.
Notably, Moroccan players Noussair Mazraoui, right-back from Bayern Munich, and Sofyan Amrabat, defensive midfielder from Manchester United, occupy the 18th and 20th positions respectively, with valuations of €30 million and €28 million.
