Moroccan surfer Ramzi Boukhiam has clinched the silver medal at the ISA World Surfing Games, held in Puerto Rico from February 23 to March 3. This achievement marks Morocco’s first-ever medal at these Games.
Boukhiam’s performance in Puerto Rico earned him a second-place finish behind Brazilian Gabriel Medina, who claimed the gold, while French surfer Kauli Vaast secured the bronze.
By securing the silver medal, Boukhiam has also secured his ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, marking his second consecutive qualification for the prestigious event after Tokyo 2020.
