Raja Club Athletic won the inauguration competition of the e-Botola tournament at the Allal El Fassi Hall in Rabat after overcoming Wydad Athletic Club in a thriller final.
Hosted and organized by the Royal Moroccan Federation of Electronic Games in conjunction with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Ministry of National Education and sports, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, this tournament took place on Saturday, April 20th, amidst a professional atmosphere and meticulous organization at every level.
Participants praised the fantastic atmosphere of the competition, characterized by a high level of sportsmanship among the national professional football clubs.
The winning team, Raja Club Athletic, guaranted a prize pool for this professional electronic tournament amounts to 300,000 dirhams, and will participate in the qualifiers for the Club World Cup scheduled for this summer in Riyadh.
Hicham El Khlifi, President of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Electronic Games, highlighted that this competition, the first of its kind in Africa and particularly in Morocco, brought together national first division football clubs in an unprecedented electronic competition.
