Abdelkebir Ouaddar, riding Baccarat Meniljean, clinched the Grand Prix of King Mohammed VI, securing the title of Senior Moroccan Show Jumping Champion at the 39th edition of the Horse Week.
This victory marks Ouaddar’s ninth title in this category, achieved with a total of 8 penalty points over two rounds. He outperformed Farid Amanzar, who rode Churchille Z, and secured the silver medal with a championship total of 11.30 penalty points. Lieutenant Yassine Laklach of the Royal Guard, aboard Derek d’Altenbach, concluded the championship in third place with 12.36 penalty points.
At the conclusion of the event, the president of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports (FRMSE), Moulay Abdallah Alaoui, presented the trophies and medals to the top three finishers in the senior category.
In the U13 category, the Prize Prince Moulay El Hassan was won by young rider Ibrahim Benssy on Izlane CMS. Mya Ait Manna, riding Handora WK, secured the silver medal, while Ismail Jouahri and Una Bel Delisée took bronze.
The 39th edition of The Horse Week saw participation from 397 horses and riders across 19 different championships, all vying for the coveted gold medals. The event’s program included Special Olympics, Moroccan Dressage Championships A, B, and C, Club Championships, and Senior, Senior Amateur, and Senior Intermediate Championships. It also featured competitions for young riders in junior, cadet, and minime categories (U13, U18, and U21), pony classes A, B, and C in show jumping and dressage, as well as amateur and military championships A and B.
