Riding on the wave of their recent African Championship victory for local players in Angola, the Moroccan national basketball team is set to showcase their prowess at the 25th Arab Men’s Basketball Championship in Egypt.
Coach Labib Al Hamrani has summoned 19 promising players to a rigorous training camp in Rabat and Salé, started December 20, to fine-tune their skills ahead of the tournament. From this pool, the national selector will handpick the final squad of 14 players who will carry the Moroccan flag in this championship.
Scheduled to kick off from December 26 until January 3, the Arab Basketball Championship will witness an intense showdown among 10 Arab teams.
