In a joint ceremony held in Lisbon on Tuesday, the organizing nations of the 2030 World Cup, Morocco, Portugal, and Spain, unveiled the logo and slogan for the centenary edition of the tournament. The colorful logo features elements such as a sun, the sea, wind, a football, and the number 30.
The slogan chosen for the competition, “Yalla Vamos,” combines an Arabic word with a term common to Spanish and Portuguese, translating to “Let’s Go!” This choice reflects the celebration of the tournament’s 100th anniversary and embodies the enthusiasm and excitement surrounding the event.
Additionally, the organizing committee announced several ambassadors for the tournament, including football icons Cristiano Ronaldo, Andres Iniesta, and Achraf Hakimi. These esteemed figures will play a crucial role in promoting the event and engaging fans worldwide.
It’s worth noting that while Morocco, Portugal, and Spain are the primary hosts for the 2030 World Cup, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay will each host a match to commemorate the centenary of the tournament, with Uruguay being the host of the inaugural edition in 1930.
