Morocco showcased its prowess at the African Tang Soo Do Championship in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, clinching the championship title. The Moroccan delegation bagged a total of 5 gold medals and one silver, emerging as the top-ranked team.
Ibtissam Lazaar, Chaimaa Ben Charki, and Khadija Daia led the charge, securing gold in their respective weight classes – 51/55 Kg, 55/59 Kg, and 63/67 Kg. Additionally, Mehdi Bahmani and Walid Zerrad claimed victory in their divisions, further cementing Morocco’s dominance with their gold medal wins, and Bilal Settouf, received the silver at the seniors category.
The podium standings saw Côte d’Ivoire and the Democratic Republic of Congo alongside Benin clinching second and third positions. Egypt secured the fourth spot, while Mali attained the fifth position in the final standings.
