The anticipation for the next edition of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations is already building up, as the preliminary draw for the Morocco 2025 tournament is set to take place on Tuesday, 20th February 2024 in Cairo, Egypt.
Scheduled for 12:00 GMT, the draw will determine the matchups for the preliminary round, which will feature the eight lowest-ranked teams according to the FIFA rankings. Among these teams are Somalia, Djibouti, Sao Tome, Chad, Mauritius, South Sudan, Liberia, and Eswatini.
The preliminary round matches will be played on a home and away basis during the FIFA Window of 18th to 26th March 2024. The four winners from this round will advance to join the 44 exempted teams in the group stage of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.
