On June 10, 2023, the creation of the RossoVerde Association (Moroccan Supporters Association) was announced. In a statement, the association clarified that it was formed by young Moroccans united by their love for sports and supporting the Atlas Lions. The primary aim of this association is to unify Moroccan supporters in stadiums, organize them, and advocate for their interests. Also the association wants to supporters’ group focused on coordinating methods of support, and encouragement for the national team during matches.
Ahead of the AFCON 2023 debut, the association embarked on producing an album of special chants dedicated to encouraging the Atlas Lions, titled “ALHAN ALWALA (Loyalty Tunes)”. The album saw the release of its first track, “INTRO” on December 23, followed by a second track titled “AL AMANA” on January 3, just 10 days before the commencement of AFCON.

Will the Association be present in Ivory Coast during the AFCON?
Absolutely. Moroccan football fans are incredibly active supporters, and our association aims to facilitate travel to Ivory Coast, providing reliable information on accommodations and local transport options for all supporters wishing to attend and cheer for the Lions.
How many Moroccans are expected to join the Association?
At present, 60 individuals have confirmed their attendance with the association, and we anticipate more joining as the event draws nearer.
Are there any special preparations for this competition?
Indeed, we have a few surprises in store! we are still trying to figure out how many people are joining, and who can help with what. Right now, our stadium people are working very hard to make certain things happen. What is important is that we will do our best with the human and financial resources to be the 13th player.
Will the Moroccan community in Ivory Coast assist the Association?
We’ve established close ties with the local Moroccan community over the past few months.
Do you rely on this community to support the National Team’s progress in the tournament?
Absolutely. Supporting the Lions is a collective endeavor. The Association is by Moroccans and for Moroccans. Our role is to coordinate and facilitate, aiming for the desired results from our National Team.
What role will the Association play in the stadium?
Our role is to sustain a fervent atmosphere, cheering for our players and putting pressure on the opponents throughout each game. We’re there solely for our Team!.
The Moroccan supporters played a pivotal role during Qatar 2022, and for this event, many are counting on the presence of Moroccan fans in the stadiums to cheer on the Atlas Lions, particularly Moroccan residents in Côte d’Ivoire. The hope is also pinned on Moroccans who have the means to travel to Côte d’Ivoire, particularly with the enticing offers from Moroccan travel agencies aiming to transport thousands of Moroccans for support the country and roar at AFCON.
