The Moroccan national football team is set to head to San Pedro, Cote d’Ivoire, this coming Sunday to further their preparations for the upcoming 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) set to take place from January 13th to February 11th, 2024.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation announced a change in the team’s preparation schedule. The Lions of the Atlas will now engage in a preparatory match on January 11th, replacing the initial fixture against Gambia, which was originally set for January 7th.
The national team, positioned in Group F for the AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire, is scheduled to play their group stage matches in San Pedro. They will share the group with teams from DR Congo, Zambia, and Tanzania.
