The Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT) has entered into a partnership with Netflix, one of the world’s leading entertainment and creative industries platforms. This collaboration aims to amplify the presence of the brand “Morocco, Land of Light” on the global stage in the golf segment, leveraging the strength of the global leader, Netflix.
This move falls under ONMT’s partnership with the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation to establish Morocco as a premier golfing tourist destination.
The strategic partnership involves various initiatives, including the debut collaboration featuring the integration of the Moroccan brand into the prestigious Netflix Cup, held on November 14th and 15th, 2023. This marked Netflix’s very first live sporting event, uniting Formula 1 pilots with PGA Tour golfers, taking place at The Wynn Golf Club, Las Vegas.
Morocco claimed the official destination status for this grand event, securing a prominent presence across the organizers’ communications, notably featuring “Morocco” and “Visit Morocco” branding along the golf course.
Beyond this inaugural partnership, the ONMT has laid out an annual communication plan targeting the new “Netflix Ad-Supported” offering. The aim is to maintain a consistent presence for Morocco and its diverse brand offerings.
