Moroccan tennis player Aya El Aouni concluded 2023 ranked 831st in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) global rankings.
Her victory at the W15 Heraklion tennis tournament in Greece last October propelled her ascent in the WTA rankings, defeating strong opponents along the way.
El Aouni’s path to the W15 Heraklion title culminated in an enthralling final against Spain’s Claudia Hoste Ferrer, the fourth-seeded contender. The match unfolded in three intense sets, ultimately resulting in Aouni’s triumph with a scoreline of 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.
