In an expected victory, the Moroccan U17 Women’s National Team triumphed over the Algerian National Team with a resounding 4-0 victory at the Berkane Municipal Stadium on Friday.
The match, part of the third round of the Women’s World Cup qualifiers, saw the Moroccan team dominate the field and take another important step towards qualification for the world cup.
Goals were scored by Inès Aboucharif in the 32nd minute, Dina Haizoun in the 41st minute, and Ouafae Bentahri in the 51st minute, along with an own goal by an Algerian player in the 58th minute.
The return leg is scheduled for May 17th at the Salem Mabrouki Stadium in Algiers, with kick-off set for 16:30 GMT.
The FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup 2024 will be held in the Dominican Republic from October 16th to November 3rd. Qualifying teams from the African zone will be determined after the fourth and final round of qualifiers in June.
